That night when I went to sleep I had clean sheets and pillow covers. I made sure my brows were nicely saturated (but not too much) of Aquaphor and covered my pillow with a towel for insurance. I am a terrible sleeper so having to try not to sleep on my stomach all night which is my preference was a struggle but I got through it. This picture is immediately when I woke up They are DARK. I’m okay with this color but some may seem to freak out when noticing how dark their brows look at this stage. Doesn’t even look like I did ombré either does it? Just you wait. They were a little sore still at day 2. I applied aquaphor only as needed, I didn’t want them to completely dry. I even went to work and did 2 eyeliners, my clients loved my brows!! At day 3 I noticed that my bulbs (beginning of my brows) are lightening up. Now I can start to see my ombré effect! Trust the process, darker before lighter. My brows are significantly less bruised and swollen and look a lot more tame to my face. I had no troubles sleeping night two and night 3. Day 4 I can start to see the beginning of some flaking and cracking. Yaaaay!! That means my skin is doing its job by rejuvenating those cells and flaking off the excess so I’ll be left with my pretty little brow! Day 4 I personally put a little more aquaphor only because they felt dry and it helped with the itching as well. Do not get your brows so slicked with aquaphor that you have to have to blot them dry. You’re stripping away pigment and lymph fluids your skin needs to heal, if they are too saturated you can risk taking pigment completely out and not healing correctly. So there you have it! Day 2-4 of my healing process. Everything looks normal and I'm trying soooo hard not to pick at them. BIG NO NO!
Day 5- 8 will consist of mostly flaking, i'll be updating you all! Message me for any questions!
